winter gas Is there a difference between winter gas and summer gas? I have a Sunesta 223, Merc V8 MPI. I had a friend tell me to never buy gas during the winter months because of a different formulation that doesn't burn well in boat engines. He has a similar boat with a Volvo engine and has had bad a experience with "winter" gas. We both trailer our boats so the gas we by is at the local gas station. We're both in NC.

Re: winter gas We have a different formulation of gas for winter here in the St. Louis area. Not sure what effect it would have on the boat. I do know my car gets worse gas milage when they switch to the winter blend, even in the fall when weather is warm.
