what engine Hi all, i'm new to the forum and to boating too. I have just bought a 1992 chaparral 1900s with a 140 hp suzuki engine.There appears to be a fault with the solenoids on the engine, so i was thinking of buying a replacement. My question is.....what would the lowest size engine i can have to be adequate?

Re: what engine Depends on how you are going to use the boat. Are you going to be water skiing? How many people in the boat? Gear? Is speed important? Etc...
